A Little Girl with Snowflakes and An Old Car Card

I love the new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things #249  I choose this cute little Image from MFT named Warmest Wishes. I stamped first and colored it with pink copic marker.

For the background I stamped my old snowflakes stamp from Pink Cat Studio, gave white embossing powder and embossed it. Then I sponged with Salty Ocean distress ink. I used the MFT dies too to make my snow under this little lady and with the rest paper I made the three stripes behind the main Image. The Sentiment also from the same set.

Challenges for my first card are:

My Favorite Things Sketch #249:

Craft Rocket Challenges #1: Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness(sdh a. p.)

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #167: Pink and Pretty(sdh a. p.)

Allsort Challenge #332: No Design Paper(1/3)

Crafting By Design: Anything Goes (Oct Challenge) (1/3)(sdh a. p.)

----------------------------------------------

I also made this manly card for some challenges:

How I made:

1. Stamped the words (Hero Arts) background stamp with dark brown ink, then use distresses tools I distressed the edge. Gave some brown ink (Tea Dye) to make it looks old.
2. Stamped the Old Car (Hero Arts) image on the vellum paper and gave brown embossing powder on it. Adhere to the stamped white paper.

3. Choose three buttons in brown, white and black.
4. Stamped the sentiment on the black paper and cut it out and adhere on the card base.

This card I will keep for my Dad Birthday on November :)

  7. Dear Monika, your blog is not showing up in my Google Dashboard Reader any more, so sad about this. So I just joined by email so I won't miss anything. Thank you for reminding me that you had some cards on your blog. Both of these cards are gorgeous! I love the little girl in the snow - cute card design and sketch too! Your masculine card is wonderful - I like the antique car - this is a great image for a manly card! I will now check your blog to see if I missed anything else.

  11. Oooh I love the fresh new look of your blog, Monika. And I love both your cards, too. I know, I owe you an email and I'll see to that shortly!
Right, putting my DT hats on I should really just be commenting on the second card - the car and the newspaper are very smart and retro, perfect for my challenge at Twofers, and the buttons finish it off perfectly, which makes it ideal for our Cardz 4 Guyz challenge too.
Your blog seems to have stopped showing up in my Bloglovin feed - I see somebody has said it's not showing in their Google feed either! I don't know what's happened but I'll follow by email.

  21. Your winter card is adorable and I love the stitched snowy ground, I so love all the stitched dies that are so on trend at the moment. I also like the sky with falling snow for the sweet image.
Your second is perfectly vintage and masculine. I do vintage, I do masculine, but it's rather rare I combine the two. This card would be perfect for my dad as well as is hobby is vintage cars. I plan to add my card for Twofers tomorrow:)

You've coloured her so perfectly and love your blue and snowflake background. I don't have any hill/landscape dies, your stitched ones are fantastic. And your always so good with your masculine cards. Love the background paper you used and the little old car is so cool. Its a perfect card for a dude!!
