We meet again at Wednesday and it means a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More (ATSM) this week we have theme: PHOTO INSPIRATION.
We have a lovely sponsor Stamplorations:
Prize is a $10 gift certificate |
This is the tools I used for my black base paper:
Then I stamped first the Pumpkin Image in the middle of the white paper, then made a mask for covering pumpkin area:
For coloring the white paper, I masked the part with post it and then sponged the same ink like the photo inspiration graphic above:
Here is the result after I opened the mask. Then I colored the main Image with orange copic marker.
Here is the result of my card, the sentiment is from the same set like the main Image, normally I am not making Halloween cards, because in Germany we dont celebrate it much :)
I hope you get inspired and like to join us this week at ATSM challenge. Klick HERE to join.

The second card I made for a challenge from Chocolate Baroque #15:
This is my one and only stamp set I have from Chocolate Baroque named Indian Textiles.
Its a rubber stamp and I choose the flower one to make my card. I look at a lovely tutorial from Cornelia in Stamplorations blog and I learn how to colored my card with yellow and grey distress ink, using Emboss Resist Technique.
I stamped the flowers many times on the white paper and I adhere on the grey paper and at last I adhere all on the black card base.
Did you see the shiny of the yellow part (it is a part that I stamped with clear ink and gave clear embossing powder), I hope the color is fit with the photo inspiration :)
Challenges for my second card are:
Chocolate Baroque #15: See the Graphic above

ReplyDeleteHi Monika, you did a fantastic job with your masking, its perfect. And the way you coloured the pumpkins, with the shading around the outside, makes them have such a cool 3D effect. Your yellow and grey floral card is very pretty and love the perfectly tied bow.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your masking turned out wonderfully!!! What a great Halloween card, my friend! Loving that second card, too - you are one busy creative lady!!! Hugs to you!

ReplyDeletecarol x
Yes, I missed these cards too! So sorry about that, Monika! I am glad you reminded me!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween card is cute and colourful - I have those Penny Black stamps, I like the kitties but I also like the pumpkins and spider web that you stamped. Very nice! I make Halloween cards and do not send them to anyone so I have a small collection of them and I'm not sure what to do with them hehe. Brian loves Halloween cards so I like to make them for him. I enjoy Halloween kitties so I keep making Halloween cards.
The second card is very beautiful - I like these stamps very much! Gorgeous ribbon and card design!
Fabulous Halloween creation, Monika. The white webs on the black are really striking, and a perfect background for your colourful images x
ReplyDeleteAs Muslim I don't celebrate Halloween and it's not a big thing in Malaysia either but I just love looking at the pretty spooky stuff and nice pumpkin carved. You made lovely background Monika and tfs your how to. Thank you for joining Anything Goes challenge at Through The Craft Room Door this week. Please join us again next week. Hi Monika, super Halloween card, and I enjoyed reading your step by step. Your second card is lovely, and a great technique. Great use of the challenge colours. Thanks for your entry into the Chocolate Baroque challenge, Judith xx
ReplyDeleteFirst of all let me tell you how thrilled I am to see that you are using your CB stamps for this month's colour challenge. Very elegant focal image as is the stamped bg. The pumpkins on the Halloween card is just adorable. Halloween is a bg deal here I mass produce mine.
ReplyDeletehugs, Asha
What a super Halloween card! Do your boys go trick or treat? My nephews do, it's starting to become a trend, but not when I was a child. It's a great effect you've created by adding shadows around the image, it sort of make the image pop even though it's on the same paper as the stripes.
ReplyDeleteAnd your second card is so elegant. Not a typical Monika card, even though you've stamped your own background, because this is feminine and stylish rather than masculine, fun or cute. It looks gorgeous, love the colors and the style of your stamps.
I love your Halloween card! Very cool. Thanks so much for joining the challenge at Scrapper's Delights.
