Istill need some christmas card....and I like to use my (older) embossing folder Woodgrain also this christmas card (again) using the woodgrain as Frame.
I dont have the color combo like the graphic above also what I should do? My DT card must be done :) ok then I took this two inks from Kuretake Gansai Tambi, I combine the dark green with the other color and voila I got the color I want :)
I used some snowflakes stamp and stamped with grey ink on the white paper as card base. (again no design paper)
I found I have stickles (amazing right? it stays there for 2 years LOL) also I gave a bit on the top bauble area:
Challenge for my card are:
Simon Says Wednesday Chalenge: Let It Snow

-----------------------------------------------
Now we go to my second card, using the same Bauble but different color.
As I told you I still need some chrismtas card also again another xmas card I made on this post:
The bottom area of my card is a ribbon. I paper pipecing the christmas bauble with grey and gingham paper. The card base I embossed with Taylored Expressions Embossing folder. The Stamp Holly leaves is the same stamp like I used on this POST. I stamped and colored with Copic, gave a bit white pen on it and fussy cut, adhere on my TAG.
Challenges for my card are:
Daring Cardmakers: Elemental Inspiration (I was inspired by the gingham, the holly and berry and the woodgrain)

I think you solved the color task quite elegantly. As you might know by now the color challenges are those I find the most tricky. Your coloring is so well done and love the little bit of sparkle added to them. The wooden frame looks just like the real deal.
ReplyDeleteNow, I love your new wooden embossing folder and the two tones of brown gives it an especially realistic look. Wow! I so love this creation, Monika, with the little pieces of gingham pattern for an additional rustic feel...
Two wonderful creations! Love the way the ornaments are framed in on the first card, and the wood background on the second. Really makes a huge statement! Thanks for linking up with us over at Just Us Girls this week, we really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty, Monika! I like your ornaments! Great colours too! I love the snowflake background on the first card and the gorgeous wood-grain on the second!
