For me this is a "heavy card" with so many element that I normally not work with :) I like CAS card but sometimes the cholor challenge not so easy and make a CAS card with it sometimes not satisfy me :)
On this picture you can see I dont have blue paper with the same color like graphic above, also I took white cardstock and I colored it with blue copic marker at the edge area:
If you know me for long time...this card is different that I normally made (CAS style) but I am happy with the result :)
Challenges for my first card are:
PDE Linky Party #120: Anything Goes (2/3)
Inspiration Destination #82 : Anything Goes
Brown Sugar #195 : Anything Goes (2/3)
Crafting With Friends Challenge #19: Anything Goes (2/3)

Colour Q Challenge #338:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make It Girlie
2 Creative Chicks #9: Anything Goes - April
Creative Craft Cottage #62: Feminin (2/3)

I also made this card for two challenges I have really want to join in.
Here what I made first colored the monkey image with my distress ink the result is pastel color..so soft and cute I like it :)
On this picture you can see I dont have blue paper with the same color like graphic above, also I took white cardstock and I colored it with blue copic marker at the edge area:
I stamped the main paper with manuscript background, adhere the sentiment at above area (I dont have the same one also I combine many sticker for MOM I LOVE YOU sentiment), the butterfly also colored with copic marker and adhere at the top of gold sticker. The splatter , I used my splatter stencil. The Gold and Black paper at the right side is the rest from this CARD.

Normally I would describe your style as mainly CAS and masculine, but lately you've been experimenting with different styles. And I love to see how different your cards are. Your first card is a bit of this and that, a mix of vintage, shabby chic, with some modern elements, like the splatter, there's lots of black and white but at the same time a very colorful make. It's a fun mix of many things.
ReplyDeleteYour second one is so cute! Coloring using ink pads I've come to enjoy, I don't have those water colors you do (lucky you) but using DI pads gives a softer look. And there's some DP there. Nice! A really great sketch you've followed.
Beautiful colorful card for your mom, she will love it, and the monkey is just adorable! You've been busy. I agree with Pia, your cards have been much different than your usually style lately, you've been outside your box. Like your usual and the new!!
ReplyDeleteMonika...two simply fabulous cards, just love them both. Your butterfly card is so beautiful and elegant and I am sure your mom will love it and that sweet little monkey card is as cute as can be. Thanks so much for playing along with us at ColourQ this week! Sending hugs your way!
