Hallo my Blogland friend, we meet again on Sunday at our brand new challenge at Sunday Stamps this time we have another color challenge:
For me the color challenge this time is really challengenging me (not so easy I mean)...you cant believe me I made one card and threw it away on the trash bin cause this colors not easy to follow for me at least :) here is what I made (second card) what do you think?
I took the Die cutting paper from Pia my lovely friend and I started to sponge the distress ink colors start with light blue...pink and the dark blue one. I keep this lovely die cutting for next time...cause this is one and only I have :)
I then stamp the BIRTHDAY and finished my card with Happy Die Cutting Paper from my lovely friend Kim H (many thanks for my Birthday goodies Kim) and some green butterflies ( to match the color combo above) this card sent already to Lilian my lovely friend the co-creator of Creative With Stamps Challenge..psstt hope she did not see this post :)
Challenges for my first card are:
PDE Linky Party #120: Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination #82 : Anything Goes
Brown Sugar #195 : Anything Goes
Crafting With Friends Challenge #19: Anything Goes
A Beautiful Mess #01: Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday Challenge: Butterfly Beauty
Through The Craft Room Door 19 April: Anything Goes (2/2)
--------------------------------------------
I also have made this birthday card for my lovely friend Shelly, she has already birthday and I am really sorry for so late sending this..but better late than nothing right Shelly :) and hope you like this cause I only put a bit pink on it :) (as you like pink)
I started with stamped this tiny flowers and butterflies from old Hero Arts Clear stamp:
Next step:
1. Stamped striped background stamp and embossed it with gold.
2. Die Cutting all the image I made, with post mark shape DIE.
3. Colored the Butterfly with blue copic and colored with black Tombow Brush Pen the white area on the gold embossed paper.
4. Arranged it on a white card stock
As you see here the gold is really shiny in reality:
And last but not least I stamped sentiment on a blue cardstock. It looks like quilted right?I love to work with tiny stamp yeah :) that flower really made a sweet background what do you think?
Challenges for my second card are:
Colour Q Challenge #338:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make It Girlie
2 Creative Chicks #9: Anything Goes
Creative Craft Cottage #62: Feminin
Creative With Stamps Challenge #1: Butterfly

ReplyDeleteMonika, this is beautiful! Love the stenciled background! Perfect way to showcase the colors! Have a great week! XX
ReplyDeleteUsing so many colors isn't an easy thing for me. That is, I can use several colors on a card, but having to follow specific ones is much more difficult. I can totally understand your efforts behind this card, but it turned out beautiful. Sometimes the struggles are worth it, it's fun to see you can do it and the style isn't typically Monika, but there's something you about the card still...
ReplyDeleteI love the simple and effective layout of your second card. I was sure you had used DPs, but no, they're made by you. I think that makes the card even more special too:)
Thanks for joining us at PDE Linky Party.

Lovely cards, they both fit the challenges perfectly!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty is your first card! I love the softness of the colors you used and it really makes the sentiment pop! Your second card is nice...it reminds me of a quilt which I love. How clever to make your own background paper. Using the gold is such a nice touch! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on both cards! Love that stenciling on the first one!
