House Of Cards January DT Card Color Challenge
Happy New Years my Blogland Friends :) and at the beginning of new year we have also new challenge at House Of Cards this time we have thema GLITTER and/or COLOR CHALLENGE see the Picture here:
Do you believe me I have difficult time to managed a card with this color combo and as I dont like glitter, I have even so less paper with glitter and some of them are pink, red and yellow (not even fit with this challenge)...also I come up with this card without glitter :) :
Stamped the image on a blue card stock and embossed it with silver embossing powder and I colored with blue and grey copic mareker...this is the card before colored (look so blast no color cause maybe silver on light blue is not a good idea :(( )
This is the finished look:
Challenges for my first card:
CAS(E) This Sketch #104:
Through The Craft Room Door 30 Dec - 5 Jan: Anything
Goes. (sdh a. p.)
Red Rubbers Inspirationals Challenge #201: New Stamps (this is my new stamp set that I just used at this time to make this card :) )
But I feel not satisfied with the result...also I made one card more....this time with Symphaty theme, cause the color is so calm and I think good for a Symphaty card..here is what I made:
I stamped the stamp set from Paper Smooches Crystal Clear the vase and the flower. I try to managed it with the color combo from the picture above,
Challenge for my second card:
Cute Card Thursday #354: Anything Goes (sdh a. p.)
Meljens Designs #241: Anything Goes
But I dont think so this is a perfect card as DT :(...also I made one card more for that color challenge above....this time I choose again the Paper Smooches Tick Tock Stamp set:
I colored the watch with copic color, fussy cut and adhere with double tape foam. The Paper base I stamped with striped background stamp from Hero Arts with blue ink. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and Hero Arts.
I guess I am happy with the last card :)
now is your turn, join us with House Of Cards Challenge :) klick HERE to join :)
Challenges for my third card:

ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Monika. Love the color theme. The silver heat embossed images look great on the first one. I also love the shadow stamping on the word. The vase is so pretty with the blooming flower... cool watches! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThey are all fabulous! Your Copics made the embossing stand out beautifully on your New Year's card and like the base and watches too. This was a fun color scheme.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Monika these creations are sooo gorgeous with your shades of blue colors!! Brilliant take on the HOC challenge theme!! I love the embossing and how you've made it really "POP" with your coloring!! That watch card is really fun and adorable!! You do some creative work my friend!! Love them all!! ReplyDeleteMy Blog: Stamp Smiles
I like all of your cards - but I think my favorite is the one with the tick-tocks - it is just a really fun whimsical card that would put a smile on someones face. My "bestie" Donna is now a DT member with you so I am looking forward to checking everyones creations out.
ReplyDeleteGasp...! You don't like glitter?!?! It's my favorite craft supply! :) You cards all turned out gorgeous and are very sweet!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Monika! I like the top card the best! I can't believe you don't like glitter! I couldn't craft without glitter! I love sparkle - the more the better! You make lovely cards even without glitter! Have a great day!
ReplyDelete3 really different takes on the same theme! Hard to pick a favorite as they're so different, but I love how the colored embossed pattern looks, what a great idea to color allow the pattern to show more clearly.
ReplyDeleteThe vase and colors are so right for a sympathy card. I like to have some at hand, they're hard to do...
Your third card is a brilliant masculine design. Love the stripes too. Equally great for a younger as an older man.
Hi Monika, you were on a roll again - 3 cards, wow! Really like the first one - so elegant and the last one - just fun with those watches! Happy New Year to you and your family!

ReplyDeleteYour so funny and so hard on yourself. I think we can all be our own worst critics, I know I'm hardly ever 100% happy with my cards and many have ended up in the bin. I actually love all of these cards, they all have fantastic design elements and the colours are perfect for the challenge. So relax, be happy and on to the next challenge!

Happy New Year Monika! Wow. Three cards! I really love the first one with all that beautiful embossing!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Monika, I loving all of your cards and I love the color challenge and you hit it out of the park with the glitter being embossing powder in the metal color. It's perfect I really love the first card and the way you colored the little elements on the design. Give a great contrast and stunning look. Those watches are so cute I love that and stamping it three times gives a great statement. Awesome work.. I hope you get my package to you soon. It's been quite awhile now 12-17-14.. It will be there soon I hope. Take care and see ya soon on my blog.. hugs friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Monika!
ReplyDeleteJuts finished perusing some many posts of lovely cards, sorry I have not been by much lately. Life has been so busy! Happy New Year!
Well let me tell you all three cards are fabulous. I don't understand how you can think they are not good enough... but that's our gain because we get to see 3 awesome cards from you. Personally I LOVE the first... that stamped border looks very familiar. And using Copics to bring out the design is brilliant idea. HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friend!
