Because it´s your day (A Birthday Card) and Summer Birthday Card (with Palm scene)

Quick post only cause I must in a hurry go to my subway to go to the office :) so less time to write so much, I will write again later after office and after go back home from  kids teeth doctor today :)

I look at this Stamplorations Mood Board and inspired to make my card:

Here is the card I made:

I made my own paper with Artplorations Stencil:

I gave my pop corn pen on some of the cake area and heated it with my heatgun.

Challenges for my card are:

Stamplorations Anything Goes Challenge:

----------EDITED: I dont want to make a new post also this card I put on this post too----------

A new colleague in my Institut where I work has a birthday on Saturday...I was asked him which theme you would like to have on your birthday card...he said something with palm :)

I was a bit panick cause I have no Palm Stamp :(...ok this time I try my best to drew it by my self...dont laugh please...here is the card I made for his birthday...

I drew my palm with pencil first then colored it with copic markers..the ground and the cloud I sponged with distress ink. The stamp are from Hero Arts. I masked the sun first and sponged the clouds and then I use the circle punched paper and sponged the yellow distress ink on it.

Challenges for my second card are:

  10. Monika, you're too funny. Your comment on my blog today made me laugh regarding DT work. Thanks for your honesty. And thank you so much for your sweet comment about my profile picture. We just took that picture last week so it is one that I treasured because we don't have that many pictures of us. :) ♥♥♥

You are quite the artist! Your hand drawn palm tree is perfect for the beach scene. Wish I can dive in and relax on that chair. :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  11. Oh, that circle stenciled paper looks super, and I love the color. And the touch of that popcorn pen for texture.
Your second card card is a little piece of art, it's so detailed, love how you did the palms, the sand and added those cute little flip flops. Definitely amongst my favorites!!

  13. Die Karte mit der gemalten Palme sehe ich erst jetzt :-(((
    Aber die ist toll geworden,
mit solchen Palmen ist man flexibler als mit geruckten, denn die sehen ja immer gleich aus.
    Weiter so!!!
    Liebe GrĂ¼ĂŸe, Flo

  19. Monika, you are amazing!! I would NEVER hand draw a tree or anything else for that matter...your card is terrific!! Your colleague will love it! Thank you for being so sweet with comments...I do not track comments, but of course like everyone, I love to receive them. I know we are all busy, so whenever I hear form you it is a blessing. I am on vacation myself now and the internet it sketchy at best...this was the first time in 7 days I was able to get to the internet! I love you card and want to thank you for playing along at Seize the Birthday! Your first card is also very clever, Monika! love that stencil!

You should do an ombre effect with the clouds.. I think it may add an extra touch.. And btw where oh where did you get that stencil? circles are my fav and that stencil has my name all over it!! And what a great job with the cake and the sentiments are so cute... Speaking of cute in the next few days I will have a 'cute' card to post.. So again, please don't laugh..
