I also made this card, I nearly forget to join at Stamplorations sketch this June :) here is what I did to make my card. I stamped Friend Definition background stamp from Hero Arts and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I colored the Groovy Shoe from Stamplorations with Akashiya SAI in blue.
I then gave a bit blue watercolor at the top right area, and the sentiment BIRTHDAY is Die Cut from Create A Smile and the Girl is PTI stamp.
Here you can see the white embossed on the white paper:

ReplyDeleteOh, I do love these long legged girls (wish I had such pins myself). Beautiful coloring, you got the shading right and very natural looking, great with the stenciled background to fill up the white space. Beautiful oriental inspired DP too.
ReplyDeleteAh, and a shoe card. Funky pairs, fab layout with own made paper. You don't need any DPs:)
I knew Germany started holidays later but never realized it was that late. I like to go on hols early and enjoy the summer back in Norway feeling relaxed.
Oh my how fun!! Both birthday cards are so neat!! I love how you have done your shoe one and newsprint is my absolute favorite!
ReplyDeleteAgain I am going to repeat myself this card is so fun and whimsical.. The chevron background is so pretty and is so fitting for you lady.. I think what I like most is the horizontal sentiment placed vertically on the card and using the scalloped border is very feminine which again is perfect and fitting. thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love how you stamped behind the image.
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing with us at Artbymiran. Good luck!
