Which Image do you want to put on your card if you listen the word TROPICAL???
I was thinking of Palm, Flip-Flop, Swimsuit, Pineapple, Banana, Coconut.....and...I decided to choose Pineapple for my card this time :) this is from The Alley Way Stamp: Tropical Hideaway.
How I made my card:
1. I cut a circle with my circle cutter, put on the top of a piece of white paper, layered it with my stencil, then choose orange (Spiced Marmelade) Distress Ink and sponged it.
2. After that I stamped the pineapple at the top of the sponged area.
3. Colored the pineapple with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set.
I love the result that I only make ONE LAYER CARD Yaaayyy...and I put I MISS YOU as sentiment cause my hubby again fly to do his business trip to TAIWAN...ooh again warm country :) Here is the card I made :)
I love to play with stencil recently it is easy...faster and I can make my own background for my card.
Challenges for my card:

Stampin Royalty Challenge #270: Watercolor (I colored my pineapple with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set, you can see here the set I mean :) )(sdh a. p.)
------------------------------------------------------
For my second card I decided to play again with color combo at Photo Inspiration from the Time Out Challenge #26:
I know I have no die cut machine :(...I was thinking hard how I can managed to cut paper and make it as a frame???
This is the answer of my question, my two square Puncher yaaayyy :) they help me this time... :) thanks my puncher :)
For my card I first punched the paper with the small puncher then after that with the big puncher. I got the result like this picture:
Here is the card I made:
The puncher really help me to achieve the goal to make frame on my card :), to give more interrest I gave SU little dots on my sentiment with (nearly) the same colors.
Challenges for my second card are:

ReplyDeleteMonika, these are all so wonderful! Your squares are so creative, the Palm is a perfect tropical card, and they all just make me smile! Thanks for sharing them! My daughter that lives in Germany used to live in Taiwan. She liked it there very much. It was bittersweet when her fellowship was over, and she returned home, but we were sure happy to see her. We had no idea she would leave the country again so soon! I wish your husband safe travels...hugs!
ReplyDeleteWow Monika again awesome cards. I love the pineapple and the use of the stencil again. Great look/ sorry hubby going on business again. Hope it's a quick trip.

ReplyDeleteWow, that one layer card with pineapple looks fab, and very tropical! The stenciled background and the image on top gives a feel of dimension. My one layer cards always turn out very bland and very often end up in the trash...
ReplyDeleteYou sure have got inspiration from the photo with frames. Can we agree on this one being masculine, lol... I think it looks really cool and modern.
Hi Monika...thanks for your lovely comment on my Which Craft? blog. This is definitely NOT too plain. It's funny that are layouts are so similar although, I believe your card is clearly so much more effective. Love the POP of vivid colors against that white space.
