As I mention you on this post, that I make a challenge between me and Billie Anderson from Ink On My Finger we will continue now it is the WEEK 2, she have choosen the theme this time, we will challenge to make a background named BOKEH.
Here is my FIRST TRIAL to make Bokeh effekt on my card....not so perfect but I am happy with the result:
What I made for my card:
1. Covered with water my water color paper, gave the paper two colors from distress ink in blue:
2. Gave more water to make the color blended.
3. Dry it with my embossing heat tool. I am not so pattient to wait until tomorrow LOL
4. Used that little dots and middle dots/circle stamp I stamped with blue and dark blue and white ink on the water color paper.
5. I have drawn and fussy cut my DAY sentiment and stamped with newspaper stamp. Put two tiny dots near the DAY sentiment to give a bit interrest.
6. The Happy cut out is from my lovely friend PIA, many thanks dear Pia for this lovely Happy cut out :)
Hope you like our post, and dont forget to visiting Billie´s Blog and see the card that she made and leave her some love :)

**********EDITED**********
I can not wait to wait until tomorrow to post this new card I just made...and the challenge will be finished soon too also I put this card on this post too :)
I want to make a card using this colour challenge from Colour Me I love using orange color this time :)
I choose this Tall Stamp for my card and I did not used it all part only the bottom part, the leg of the woman :) and her lovely shoe :) I want to say thank you very much for Cornelia at Fun Stamping in the USA who brought me this stamp last time as she visited Munich (it was 2013)...I just inked this stamp today dear Cornelia :)
I also stamped many lines using this lovely PTI stamp with orange ink, also Cornelia sent to me through her sister who lives in Germany, again many thanks Cornelia :)
Here is my card using all the orange colors, I colored the Image with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Color set. I gave the white dots for giving interest to her dress :)
To cover the bad area on the right side, I stamped the sentiment and punched it in a circle and layered it with orange paper and put there :) voila ..you can not see that bad area more, right? :)

Wow, Monika, you have been busy! All 3 cards are gorgeous! I really like the Bokeh technique on the top card - that's on my list to try. Yours looks great! Your gold embossed feathers are beautiful! And your final card is so pretty - love your colouring on this one! That must be a big stamp if you used the entire girl. Very nice! I love how you coloured her skirt and added the dots! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteHello, hello Monika! I sent you an email about the Birthday card exchange. Not sure if you received it as I don't have any of the information I needed yet.
ReplyDeleteAll great cards here. My favorite is the one with the gold feathers. So pretty! And congrats on that win! Hope you are feeling much better from your tooth surgery. xo.
First card: hmmmm, this is a technique I want to try, seeing it in these colors I'm thinking underwater scene. Or masculine, nice, like yours!
ReplyDeleteSecond: you lucky girl, I've got feather dies but no stamps and I've looked everywhere! It looks fantastic this card, so elegant, love the gold!
Third: what a clever use of that stamp! I've got one of this dolls too, but they're so big I tend to forget to use it. Love your idea of using only the legs!
Oh my--I'm so impressed that your doll image is coloured with watercolour! The coloured are so vivid and beautiful! Thanks so much for playing with us over at the Colour Me challenge! :) Julia
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely cards here. I love the way you've showcased the skirt and shoes on the orange card. And you feathers are so elegant with the gold and damask! Great work!
ReplyDeleteMonika...I had to wait for my daughter to come over and help me fix the computer so I could find your blog and link up...it is weird what computers do...it was taking me to a different server when I tired to click on you name! anyway, I browsed through your cards and they are amazing...I love your bokeh also and that lady card is genius how you laid out only the bottom portion! thanks for visiting me and I will be returning to see more of your work!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've been busy Monika - gorgeous cards and so many lovely techniques used. Your bokeh effect is lovely - I love how this technique is unique to every card. Thanks for playing along at Colour Q!
ReplyDeleteMonika: first, I hope your tooth is much, much better! Your trip to the dentist doesn't sound like fun at all, and eating only soft food, while good advice, must be somewhat not too appetizing. Hopefully, you'll heal up quickly and be back to crunchy, crisp foods in no time! Your cards - here and from earlier - are simply outstanding! Your bokeh is lovely; your word card such fun; your coffee cards exceptionally splendid, and the array here: wow, wow and wow! Again, you make amazing use of your stash, and the gifts you've received from others you showcase beautifully! Gorgeous. As for your request for the circle butterfly card I made: of course I'll send it to you! I'm planning to do some cards when I visit my mom starting March 20th, so look for this butterfly to arrive sometime in April. I'm thrilled its going to a warm, loving home!

Beautiful card, I love this one!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining our challenge at CAS on Sunday!
Love both cards, Monika, your background using the bokeh technique is lovely! So happy to see you at the colourQ each week! Sorry to be so late, I fell last week and although not hurt, just really slow in all things. The stamp set you asked about is "Love is Kindness" Stampin'Up! from the new spring mini catalog. Unfortunately I am not able to ship overseas, but I am sure you can find it online at the Stampin'Up! store or through a demonstrator in Germany. As for the vote, I never new how hard it was to get a group of people voting for the same person until I got a a team! Sometimes the voting is crazy, so just hang in there and someday it will just happen! Always enjoy visiting your blog for a colourQ challenge.
