How I made my card:
1. started with stamped the butterfly first to Versamark Clear ink then to the Distress Ink. Then I embossed it with clear embossing powder.
2. I took black Tombow marker and started to colored my white area of the paper:
3. Here is the finished colored white are with black Tombow marker. In reality the butterfly is shiny because of the clear embossing powder.
Here is the finished card:

Sweet card. Love your tag and that is a lot of black coloring but so worth it. The colors of your butterflies are perfect and black makes it pop.. Love your tags and the background embossing folder .. LOVE it . Great card

Oh, your embossed colourful butterflies are so beautiful, Monika!!!! I love the tilted tag on the dry embossed bg - the script is lovely!!! The pink of the ribbon and the sentiment on the pink, give a wonderful feminine touch to your card!!!! Such a great card, my friend!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Tuesday!!!!

It looks like colored embossing powder on black. I don't have all colors of embossing powder, so this technique is a great alternative. It makes a wonderful motif for a tag but it would also look great as a background for a sentiment in focus card. I think this is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to learn that you colored the background with a black marker. This is truly beautiful, and I appreciate the tutorial. Thank you for sharing your beautiful tag with us at Jo's Scrap Shack this week.
