----------EDITED: I dont want to make a new post also this card I put on this post too----------
A new colleague in my Institut where I work has a birthday on Saturday...I was asked him which theme you would like to have on your birthday card...he said something with palm :)
I was a bit panick cause I have no Palm Stamp :(...ok this time I try my best to drew it by my self...dont laugh please...here is the card I made for his birthday...
I drew my palm with pencil first then colored it with copic markers..the ground and the cloud I sponged with distress ink. The stamp are from Hero Arts. I masked the sun first and sponged the clouds and then I use the circle punched paper and sponged the yellow distress ink on it.
Challenges for my second card are:

ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy looking cake, and a great stenciled background! I love how you stamped your sentiment all around. It's wonderful to see your blog again, I've been busy getting my mom's house ready to sell.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card with lovely bg stenciling, Monika!
ReplyDeleteMonika, you're too funny. Your comment on my blog today made me laugh regarding DT work. Thanks for your honesty. And thank you so much for your sweet comment about my profile picture. We just took that picture last week so it is one that I treasured because we don't have that many pictures of us. :) ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the artist! Your hand drawn palm tree is perfect for the beach scene. Wish I can dive in and relax on that chair. :) Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh, that circle stenciled paper looks super, and I love the color. And the touch of that popcorn pen for texture.
ReplyDeleteYour second card card is a little piece of art, it's so detailed, love how you did the palms, the sand and added those cute little flip flops. Definitely amongst my favorites!!
Love the background paper you made. And that beach scene - I want to go there right now!
ReplyDeleteDie Karte mit der gemalten Palme sehe ich erst jetzt :-(((
ReplyDeleteAber die ist toll geworden,
mit solchen Palmen ist man flexibler als mit geruckten, denn die sehen ja immer gleich aus.
Weiter so!!!
Liebe GrĂ¼ĂŸe, Flo

ReplyDeleteMonika, you are amazing!! I would NEVER hand draw a tree or anything else for that matter...your card is terrific!! Your colleague will love it! Thank you for being so sweet with comments...I do not track comments, but of course like everyone, I love to receive them. I know we are all busy, so whenever I hear form you it is a blessing. I am on vacation myself now and the internet it sketchy at best...this was the first time in 7 days I was able to get to the internet! I love you card and want to thank you for playing along at Seize the Birthday! Your first card is also very clever, Monika! love that stencil!
